In January of 2017, the NCI Office of Cancer Centers released updates to the Cancer Center Support Grant (CCSG) guidelines. While the fundamental Six Essential Characteristics remain unchanged, the changes implemented by the issuance of this funding opportunity announcement apply to several other components.

Regina Schwind is the Director of Research Operations at Forte Research Systems, where she is focused on implementing organizational effectiveness related to clinical trials, technologies, and research operations. Regina came to Forte with over 15 years’ experience in academic cancer centers, spanning clinical trials informatics to executive leadership team as the Cancer Center administrator. She has been responsible for building the administrative, clinical, and translational research infrastructures in order to support cancer center organization for NCI designation as well as the conduct of clinical trials and translational cancer research. Regina received a degree in International Business Administration from the Max M. Fisher College of Business at The Ohio State University.
